What the price is made of

Every move has four main parts: the vehicle, the driver time, the loaders and extra conditions. The bigger the vehicle, the more a kilometre costs, but one large vehicle is often cheaper than two trips with a small one.

• Vehicle: size and payload.
• Route: kilometres and time in city traffic.
• Loaders: how many and for how long.
• Extras: floors without a lift, additional stops, night hours, urgency.

Which vehicle fits which flat

In practice a one-room flat fits into a small van (1.5 tons, 9 m3); a two-room flat needs a large van (2 tons, 16 m3) or a 3-ton truck; a three-room flat or a small office is easier with 5 tons. If you own a lot of books, tools or documents, the weight will be higher than you expect.

Loaders: is it worth saving on them

Loader work is charged by the hour. Two people usually load an average flat in 2-3 hours. If you carry everything yourself, the vehicle waits longer and the saving disappears. When the furniture is heavy or the floor has no lift, loaders almost always pay off.

When it is cheaper to book

The end of the month and weekends are the busiest. On a weekday morning a vehicle is easier to find. An urgent "now" order carries a surcharge, so planning a day ahead saves money.

A real example

A two-room flat from Yasamal to Khatai, about 12 km, two loaders, a lift in the building. A large van or a 3-ton truck is enough for such a move. To see the exact amount, enter the addresses in the order form: the system calculates the route and shows the price for each vehicle.

How to avoid overpaying

• State the weight and the floor honestly; recalculating on site always costs more.
• Pack the boxes before the vehicle arrives.
• If possible, book the lift in advance and clear space at the entrance.
• If it will not fit in one trip, take a bigger vehicle straight away.
• Pay by card: the amount stays with the service until delivery.
